Bank of Commerce acquired Piqua State Bank on September 1, 2023. This acquisition adds branches in Gas & Yates Center. We at Bank of Commerce are proud of our agricultural heritage, and the addition of Gas and Yates Center will allow us to contribute to the growth and success of their farm and ranch communities. The Piqua State Bank was opened in 1914 and eventually purchased by Galen L. (Jack) Curry in 1971 following his retirement from the Army. Members of the Curry family continue to manage the Yates Center and Gas branches.

Community National Bank & Trust was chartered in 1987, organized by a shareholder group that included Phil Eastep, Chairman, Dan Mildfelt, President and CEO, and Mike Mitchell a local Chanute businessman. Dan Mildfelt moved to Chanute from the Kansas City banking environment to become President and CEO of Community National Bank & Trust in 1991. The bank's emphasis on excellence in service, strong support of local needs, superior account and lending products, and a passion for community service are cornerstones in serving our growing customer base.

Community National Bank & Trust's management, directors and employees have exemplified leadership roles and dedication to the local schools, 4-H groups, scholarship funds, community cultural events, and other civic activities in each community that they service. The energies and financial resources from Community National Bank & Trust have oftentimes been the driving force in the success of many community activities.

Community National Bank & Trust offers a variety of accounts created to fit the individual needs of all customers, ranging from Regular Savings to ePower Checking and Cash Management. We encourage younger generations to learn to save by offering the Diggity Dog Club and Young Investors Club for children and young adults. This savings account enables children to learn the importance of saving for the future and setting deposit goals. Letters are sent to the kids informing them of special events and programs. The youth of today are our future adults.

The Piqua State Bank was organized in 1910 by L. C. Neimann. During that same year the Farmers State Bank was opened in Piqua by George Wille. In 1914, the Wille family purchased the Piqua State Bank and merged the two banks under the name of the Piqua State Bank. John Wille, George Willis's son, owned and managed the bank for the next 50 years.

The Bank was eventually purchased by Galen L. (Jack) Curry following his retirement from the Army. The Curry family has owned and operated the bank to this day. The bank is now the only locally owned locally operated bank in Woodson and Allen counties. Several Curry family members are employed by the bank and the bank continues to grow and prosper.

It is the mission of the Piqua State Bank to maintain the safety of the depositor's money, maximize profits for the stockholders, and have a positive impact on the community.
